Octavia Therapies provides Occupational Therapy services to children, adolescents, and young adults in our beautiful Bunya clinic and around the north Brisbane area. Our family-centred approach provides wholistic care in helping clients to improve their functional daily living skills, achieve greater independence, and build stronger connections to their communities.
We provide a mobile service to where it matters most – in the home, in the school/ kindergarten, or out in the community. We love to work closely with parents, caregivers, educators, and other specialists to support goals across environments.

Rita Harrison
Principal Occupational Therapist
MOccThySt, Grad Dip (Counselling), BA (Psychology)
Rita has extensive experience working with children in hospital, community, and education settings. Her passion is working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), neurological conditions, and complex behavioural concerns. She enjoys developing positive and encouraging strategies with families, assisting them to improve day-to-day living in meaningful and purposeful ways.
Rita is a registered member of Occupational Therapy Australia, is a facilitator of the Circles of Security Parenting (COSP) program, and is an experienced Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) feeding therapist practitioner.
Outside of work, Rita is an avid collector of unique brooches, a connoisseur of local coffee shops, and an impressive Uno competitor with her two children.
